Review of The Snapper (1993) by Jonathan N — 29 Apr 2008
The film takes us from the moment a young single woman tells her parents she's pregnant until she gives birth. It's 85 min. of pain, stubbornness, anger, and humour followed by 5 min. of pure giddy joy.
Rarely has a film shown more clearly how the arrival of a baby wipes out the memory of the mess that went before. Enjoyable from start to finish.
