Review of The Silent House (2010) by Michael H — 05 Mar 2012
La Casa Muda is a innovative cinematic achievment because this is the first film to use one continuous shot. This means that there is no editing whatsoever in the progress of the film. Now there had to be more then one cinematographer working on this film because he couldn't possibly do it on his own. But its not about the cinematography. Its about the film itself. This is a very disturbing film basing it on true events. The title of the film is unique because the word "Silent." in the title symbolizes that there isn't much dialoge in the film. I never noticed that at first but I found out in the next 20 minutes. This is the better horror films the cinema has to offer nowadays. I also anxiously await Silent House (2012) coming this friday.
84/100 B.
