Review of The Rig (2010) by Hunter I — 29 Oct 2010
The Rig looked promising to me from its trailers: an Abyss/Leviathan set-up that involves a group of oil rig workers being attacked by some sort of aqueous monster. Unfortunately, the film becomes the lamest, most boring possible ripoff of Alien.
You relish each death not because they are entertaining or horrific but because they bring you closer to the film's conclusion which seems eons away despite it only being 90 minutes long.
