Review of The Proposition (2005) by Billy L — 05 Jul 2008
Now I am really excited for Hillcoat's adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's The Road. Hillcoat establishes the situation early, and he uses the desolate australian landscape to set the tone. There is no pretentiousness here, just gritty barbarism.
Like McCarthy's Blood Meridian, has a lot to say about the pointlessness of violence and much more.
