Review of The Manson Family (1997) by Ross R — 12 Jun 2008
Technically brilliant, it works really well in evoking a late-60's feel...apart from the major flaws with the whole 'outcast modern youth' subplot which starts as a hinderance and finishes up just downright ludicrous.
..plus the inappropriate way the murder scenes are handled. Another major flaw is Marcelo Games, who is woefully miscast as Manson. It's a shame because there are a lot of good things about this film, and I do still watch it over on occasion.
There are some great orgy scenes too.
