The movie is set in France after D-day. You'll see some WWII hardware - tanks, vehicles, etc., but most of the battles are more intimate warfare - guns, knives, stand-offs, and a fist fight in a POW camp.
The movie has some action, but it actually has more suspense than action as a group of American soldiers that are stranded behind enemy lines try to get to safety with their own German POW in tow. The movie chronicles the external struggles of the group on their journey but also the internal struggles of what each character in the group e is grappling with.
I liked that character exploration. Just when things were starting to slow down, a new twist comes up for the group, and they are thrust into more danger. Solid independent film with some scenes of great directing full of suspense and tension as well as beautiful cinematography.
And overall, the core cast is very good.
