Review of The Jacket (2005) by Toivo K — 25 Jul 2009
Wow! What a surprise out of nowhere. Filled with surprises and thoughtful themes, The Jacket feels good. The story dives into the basic levels of reality and existence with a nice melancholic tone. The cast is one of the most convincing ensemble of actors I've seen in one movie - especially Keira Knightley does a great job in her quite dark role.
Wonderful editing, calm pace and immersive soundscape. Possibly the best American thriller I've seen.
