Review of The Fighting Westerner (1935) by Richard D — 04 Feb 2015
An adaptation of the Zane Grey novel "Golden Dreams". The film is also known as "Rocky Mountain Mystery", which is a more apt title. Although the setting is decidedly western, this is really a mystery story with Randolph Scott playing a mining engineer who tries to solve a murder that takes place at a mine.
It's a serviceable mystery, but nothing special. It's very talky and low on action for a B western.
