Review of The Edge of Love (2008) by Holly B — 15 Jul 2008
If anyone is still doubting that Keira and Sienna can't act, see this film. Poignant, moving, intense and beautifully shot, all four main actors are outstanding, managing non native accents with perfection and dealing with the complex characterisations and interplay of relationships with skill and subtlety.
A fantastic period piece with excellent pace and emotion. Good sideburn rating: 4/10 - No facial hair due to the period but some good foppish hair moments. Presence of satorially elegant men: 6/10 A captain's uniform, tank tops and tweed trousers a plenty.
Not my favourite period, but by god does it beat the mass nylon football t-shirt of choice worn by many men in modern day Britain!
