Review of The Day of the Jackal (1973) by Cassandra M — 27 Oct 2009
One of the great political thrillers. Based on the a real attempt to assassinate Charles de Gaulle. Tracking the Jackal as he evades the combined resources of French state security is phenomenal. The cat and mouse between the Jackal and a dedicated French inspector is almost too good.
Great story, great acting, not a classic but damn close.
