Review of The Bride Wore Black (1968) by Vidal H — 14 Jul 2008
It took this film for me to realize just how amazing Jeanne Moreau can be, and how beautiful she is. I can't really do a review of this film, even a short one, justice without really being able to put Truffaut's style into words.
If you're familiar with it, you'll recognize it, and it's certainly present in this film. The Bride Who Wore Black is a somewhat slow and cheeky revenge thriller, but the acting and story are excellent, and I found the film thoroughly enjoyable all the way through.
