Review of The Bride Wore Black (1968) by David P — 30 Jul 2011
Kill Bill may have "borrowed" the premise but this excellent film plays like a Hitchcock thriller. It even usies a score by Bernard Herrmann, and the film is based upon a book by Cornell Woolrich who wrote the short story that became Rear Window.
Unlike Kill Bill TBWB does not feature 2 hours of unnecessary dialogue about nothing and actually tells its story by using minimal dialogue and SHOWING the audience the story.
