Review of The Art of Travel (2008) by Scott R — 27 Sep 2008
This is one lame attempt to make an adventure movie...
Characters are so annoying that I found myself actually hoping that they would get killed somewhere on the way, at least that could bring some emotions into this otherwise predictable and boring movie. All the way I was waiting for some adventure to unfold but it all seemed like an introduction until it just came to an end. The only adventures here that I am aware of was scoring those two Dutch and a Czech girl.
Lots of ridiculous moments in the jungle crossing part, the guerrilla commander pushing the jeep out of the mud or all those guys screaming like crazy while swinging their machetes cutting through the bushes.
I liked the scene at the wedding but that's all.
One star for the scenery and second for a traveling topic in general. The rest just suck.
