Review of Tetro (2009) by Harkeerat S — 26 May 2009

I loved this film, beautifully shot with plenty of scenes full of impact and makes many statements about family, art, wealth, and self-motivation that are easy to identify with. To be part of the Quinzaine des Réalisateurs a film has to show absolute creativity and prowess that is most appreciated by filmmakers and film students themselves.

The hours one had to wait in line to gain access to this film in Cannes increased with each showing due to the standing ovations and reputation it received with each screening in the festival. I hope it is understood and accepted by at least some sect of the American Audience when it's released here .
