Review of TerrorVision (1986) by Andrew L — 08 Aug 2017
Terrorvision is a Great movie. Great. It is a scathing indictment of 1980s society and culture and the impact the availability of a wider range of TV entertainment had on the American family. Every character is a perfect slice of mid 80s Americana shown in the worst possible light, the acting is fantastic (Uncle Rico from Napoleon Dynamite plays a dumb heavy metal boyfriend, Gerrit Graham as the father, Mary Woronov as the mom) and the set design and cinematography are very well done.
This movie succeeds in so much if you just watch it like you would any other movie, instead of writing it off as soon as the premise is revealed. It's amazing, all you have to do is let it be art as much as you do any other movie.
