Summer of Sam is a underrated masterpiece, which clearly shows the fears of modern America and her obssessions with serial killers. Based on the true story about notorius serial killer David Berkowitz (AKA Son of Sam), this movie is made of different stories in Bronx during the hot summer of 1977, when disco became parody of itself, punk and rebelious teenagers became menaces to society, unprotected sex and use of illegal drugs became everyday story.
Funny, sexy, dangerous and beatiful filmed... this is the best movie from Spike Lee... the real view into America and her ugly side of nation.
