Review of Suddenly Last Summer (2012) by Kelly N — 18 Jun 2007
While often overly-hysterical and gothic, I couldn't help but be both intrigued and frightened by this somewhat shocking film. Katherine Hepburn is incredibly creepy, and Elizabeth Taylor plays her role to the hilt. You won't want to quit this one part way through, unless its disturbing nature and vague themes bother you. I would recommend reading a few reviews by critics either before or after viewing, in order to clear up the things left unsaid, due to the censoring system that existed pre-1960's.
A dramatic, mysterious, psychological movie, for an older audience.
