Review of Steve Jobs (2015) by Brent S — 25 Feb 2016
Hands down my favorite film of 2015. Steve Jobs is a modern classic which takes a look at 3 times in the titular inventor's life, all right before a product launch. I know what you're thinking, when I first heard that this was how the film would be presented, I was perplexed, but I promise you, it works.
Aaron Sorkin (The Social Network, The West Wing) delivers the best script of the year and Danny Boyle (127 Hours, Slumdog Millionaire) utilizes his keen eye to make the most electric film of the year.
Michael Fassbender deserves an Oscar for his layered and intense portrayal of Jobs, also does Kate Winslet, portraying his loyal assistant. Another great performance which may come as a surprise is Seth Rogen as Steve Wozniak.
He gives a sensitive, emotional performance that is deserving of some sort of recognition. See this film, it is incredible.
