Review of Spartan (2004) by Tristan F — 03 Sep 2007
I love Mamet's writing, but a lot of his thrillers are pretty lame (especially Heist) because they end in countless double crosses that don't mean anything. When applied to the world of the secret service and government conspiracy, the cons have more weight and urgency.
Val Kilmer is awesome in the lead, smooth and suave (even if he is a little meaty for a soldier).
