Even without the accompaniment of its incredible graphic novel counterpart, Southland Tales offers a stimulating interpretation of a modern day "Revelation". Though not a religious man myself, I found solace in the modern day commentary of a very old book that most individuals take much too seriously (similar to many reviewers of this film).
