Review of Soul Food (1997) by Razor O — 06 Jun 2005

Soul Food was apparently shown on HBO as a series. What a damned good series it is! Follow the family lives of Big Momma. You are immersed into not only the family relationships but the individual lives of the characters anchored by three sisters.

I wasn't sure before I started watching the series on DVD but WOW! This is a very entertaining and real look at these lives which could be going on right in your own neighborhood or one really close to yours.

I'd recommend that if family watches this together, the adults explain things to the children. It is a good way to teach about love, crime, dating, values and more.
