Review of Snowbeast (1977) by Kevin H — 02 Apr 2009
This was supposed to be a made for TV movie back in the 70's so you know there won't be much gore, so when the closing credits came on I wasn't that disappointed.
The plot of the movie is an angry sasquatch preys on skiers at a local resort and its up to a patrol team leader, Olympic skater and wise sheriff (played by Clint Walker of Dirty Dozen fame) to stop it.
Most of the plot wasn't too bad and the fact that you can't see the face of the monster actually keeps the suspense and leaves it to the imagination. The only negatives were it dragged out due to all the skiing going on in between the plots and the murders.
I give this movie 2 out of 5 because it was average, not too bad not too good. Clint Walker has seen better days.
