Review of Shriek of the Mutilated (1974) by Christopher B — 04 Sep 2009
Much like the Schmuker's jelly ad where they say, "With a name like Schmuker's, you know it's gonna be good", the same logic applies to Shriek of the Mutilated. You just know it's gotta be good, and you're right on the money holmes.
A group of students gather in the wilderness with a professor and (and I quote) his Indian, Laughing Crow (played by an Italian actor straight out of the Sopranos) to have an encounter with Bigfoot. Wonderful, mind-boggling stupidity ensues until the glorious reveal at the end that I would never dream of ruining for any potential viewers.
This one is right up there with Demon Lover (AKA Coven) in the so awful it's amazing category in low budget, seventies American horror.
