Review of Shopgirl (2005) by Phil L — 04 Jan 2008
Wonderfully shot, perfect adaption of the book, which is one of my favourite books. All of the actors fit perfectly, although I'm curious as to why the hair colours of Mirabelle and Lisa were switched.
It maintains the feel of a foreign film while being strictly North American.
Whoever praised Lost in Translation should check this out, because Steve Martin wrote Shopgirl before Lost in Translation was even written.
