Review of Shock Treatment (1981) by Derek B — 13 Jun 2007
I am convinced that I am the only one alive who knows this movie exists. A little-known sequel to 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show.' No Transylvanians, no cross-dressing, different actors playing Brad and Janet, and a PG rating.
An odd little movie that features Brad and Janet stuck in a TV world. This movie is a commentary on the TV generation. It's also a commentary on reality TV ... in 1981! Before there was reality TV! A movie truly ahead of its time.
This movie is widely condemned for being a letdown after 'RHPS,' but at least they tried something different instead of the exact same storyline over and over.
