Review of RoboCop (1987) by Lambo442 — 23 Jan 2019
Thematically it represents a deep, existential look into the modern human condition, addressing the effect that corporations and rampant capitalism are having on the human soul, body and psyche, all of these allegories played out within the body of Murphy, part man, part corporate machine.
It portrays the fear that at the rate we're going even our bodies will be owned by big business. All of this is played out within one of the coolest, most intense action films you'll ever see. I knew every word to this film when I was kid as I watched it so many times.
I even wrote a dissertation on it for my film degree and trust me, there was enough material for a 2000 word essay, easily.
