Review of Ricky Gervais Live: Animals (2003) by Lady D — 23 Oct 2008
Fairly disappointed with this dvd and in my opinion confirms Ricky Gervais is a great comedy performer rather than a standup comedian. There were of course some funny parts, but felt his personal attacks on people were just cheap shots, he?s a much funnier person than that. Up until this dvd I had been a huge fan of Gervais, but would definitely be cautious of future stand up dvds. Gervais is a comedy genius, but it doesn?t show too much in this routine.
