Review of Red White & Blue (2010) by Monique J — 21 Apr 2011
Sweaty, visceral, ugly it's realism. This is the style of horror film, the worthy heir of classic 70's films [Craven/Hooper, etc.] but with the added tension of characterization that is neither black or white, but remains firmly entrenched in the gray area.
Relies more on building tension, over gratuitous gore. Top notch acting, direction, and oh, IT SCARED THE SH*T OUT OF ME! This guy's a contender, let's hope he doesn't sell out and start making remakes and sequels!
