Review of Read My Lips (2001) by Mintar X — 22 Jun 2007
If you read the back of the box, this film may sound relatively unremarkable, but it has avoided all the triteness that many movies from this genre cannot seem to escape. It's very gritty, the main characters flawed -- appearing as either despicable or pathetic -- and the romance itself is complex and wholly lacking sweetness.
It's not the most profound film ever, or anything equally pretentious, but Sur Mes Levres is good if you want to see a different sort of action flick.
