At first glance, a horror movie about a vegetarian becoming addicted to flesh sounds like an easy thing to get wrong. Truthfully, if an American studio had made it, they probably would have. God bless the French for making an engaging, disgusting, thoroughly enjoyable cannibal horror film.
Easily one of the best horror films I think I've ever seen.
