Review of Queen Margot (1994) by Bernard E — 17 Jan 2007
Isabelle Adjani became my french cinema goddess after this movie, and I fell even deeply in love with Vincent Perez. All actors are wonderful, from Lisi to Anglade, from Bose to Argento...and Daniel Auteouill.
..superb! Although it is quite long, the plot is dynamic and there's suspense everywhere. the historical subject was well treated and the Night of Saint Bartholomew scenes are wonderful. I think that's pretty much the way it truly was.
The perfect ending...'Elo Hi', Ofra Haza's enchanting and magic song. Pity for the world she's dead now. We lost a great singer.
