Review of Punishment Park (1971) by Jonathan T — 26 Apr 2008
Horrific, nightmarish and thought-provoking it is. A work of art it is not. This is a film made by a savagely misanthropic filmmaker for an audience of closet masochists using social relevance to dignify their existential despair and spiritual bankruptcy.
It's not a movie for people who abhor war, it's pornography for nihilists. Paxil can help.
