Review of Prozac Nation (2003) by Kenna R — 11 Jun 2011
I, personally, think this film is incredible. Ricci delivers a very true to life portrayal of Elizabeth Wurtzel, it's heart breaking, and terrifyingly identifiable. The entire way through the film, you loathe Lizzie and her destructive actions.
. at the same time, how many of us have made choices to hurt people just because we are in pain.. everyone has done it... I admire Ricci so much for taking this role on and delivering it with such courage and commitment.
.. Men, if you watch this, I'm sorry to say, this film is the best insight to a female psyche that I've ever seen... we all have this emotional turmoil inside of us, some of us are just better at keeping it under control.
