Review of Pontypool (2009) by Rory S — 28 Dec 2014
After almost 6 years, this is still the first film I recommend to anyone looking for a horror film that delivers more than stupid cheap jumps. This multi-genera film engages it's audience on a deeply psychological level.
While the action is low for a horror film, the plot is still incredibly heavy. The acting isn't only believable, it carries an almost exclusively dialog based horror picture without ever getting boring.
In regards to the low budget of the film, I will say money is spent where it matters. This is without a doubt one of my favorite movies of all time.
