A friend and I rented this movie because the back said it was a comedy of sorts. It was, but it was also touching. There are points when you just want to shake some sense into the characters, but everything comes together at the end in a "happy ending" sort of moment.
I thought that the family was realistic, and the characters were fairly easy to relate to. We rented it not expecting too much out of it, but were glad we'd decided to watch it.
