Review of Pickpocket (1959) by Michael A Elkana F — 17 Oct 2009
Yet another movie from Bresson that listed in my top 20 fave movies of all time.
As written on my review for A Man Escaped, Bresson blows me with his minimalist style on almost all of his movies. This time he gives a gritty and realistic portrayal of a thief's life in Paris circa 1950s. From the perfect choice of music and sound editing, to the masterfully crafted pickpocket scene (one of my favorite scene from movie history), this masterpiece is rly treat and delightful movie experience, not to count the lovely ending =P. It rly stands the test of time (love Marika Green XD).
