Review of Phantom Boy (2015) by Tim M — 04 Dec 2017
There isn't much of a story to 'Phantom Boy', but what it lacks in screenplay is more than made up for with beauty and charisma. It's a fantasy animation flick in which a sick boy who is in the hospital is able to leave his body and help others.
He meets an injured policeman in the hospital and the duo attempt to stop a man (voiced by Vincent D'Onofrio) trying to take over New York City. This is a French film dubbed into English by a mostly unknown, but very talented voice cast.
It's worth the watch for families who have kids 8 or older, but it may be a little too violent for super young children. It's a neat, tight film that is a delight on the eyes. Final Score: 7.7/10.
