Review of Parents (2007) by Scott P — 11 Aug 2008
An english teacher of mine suggested that I watch this film a few years back after I wrote a horror story where the twist involved the main character's parents turned out to be cannibals. Well I finally found a copy at a video store where I work.
While it didn't meet my expectations, the ride was fun and surprisingly more disturbing than I originally expected it to be. it's a weird little film for sure and the fact that Randy Quaid is the dad makes it all the more weird.
The main problem this film suffers is that the main character/kid doesn't talk very much and so we can't identify with him as much and don't blame his father for being upset with him throughout the film.
It'll make more sense when you watch it. Worth a watch though for any fan of cannibal movies/stories.
