Review of Oldboy (2013) by Christopher A — 05 Mar 2014
Definitely underrated by many. Oldboy successfully remakes, what many would call, a classic. Josh Brolin's performance is quite powerful and shows the actor's diverse range. However the theatrical release does remove some of the scenes I felt built the characters up more which I would say is overall a poor choice.
Overall I was afraid to watch a remake of something I already considered good but my worries were laid to rest with the powerhouse performances of Josh Brolin and Elizabeth Olson.
