Review of Mystery Train (1989) by Chris S — 02 Sep 2009
If I were them, I am going to get so tired and sick of Elvis Presley if in every hotel room there's a portrait of him, all of the Memphis residents have made-up stories about him, there's a statue dedicated to him in his hometown, his songs are constantly played in the radio, and he even haunts you before you go to sleep.
Jim Jarmusch is somehow capable of keeping you glued to the screen even with his usual slow pace and no-direction plots. And the Japanese couple's so adorable.
