Review of Mulholland Dr. (1999) by Colm M — 22 Mar 2012
Sunset Boulevard, All about Eve and so Mulholland Dr. for a modern and chilling attack on The American movie business. The pandoras box of the movie world. The hollowness that lurks behind the smiling faces.
The devouring drug that is the desire for fame. I will always imagine that goblin lurking in the shadows of Hollywood. Dont mind the time shifts or the non-sense or what is real or unreal. Revel in, what was for me, the crazed mind of an innocent aspiring actress destroyed by the darker side of desire in a world of fickle elitists.
.Lynch's atmospherics and characters are unsettling and mesmerising. Original Masterpiece. I'm off to watch more Lynch.
