Review of Messiah of Evil (1975) by Douglas P — 29 Oct 2007
Would love to see a clean widescreen print of this odd, atmospheric, and amateurish film. The supermarket scene is wonderful, and the theater sequence is unsettling, and quite funny at the same time. Anitra Ford is gorgeous - I could have watched her walk through the whole town.
Good to see old vets Elisha Cook Jr. and Royal Dano get to ham it up, as usual. Solid unexpected surprise.
