Review of Memento (2000) by Scott M — 25 Mar 2017
The word 'captivating' is often used in movie reviews, but I feel the word has been used incorrectly 99% of the time. This movie is the definition of captivating. I couldn't take my eyes of the screen, and I couldn't stop my mind from thinking about what was going to happen next.
I suggest watching the movie twice and also reading the brief Wikipedia plot summary, of course after your first or second watch. There is one major plot hole, that I won't spoil, but I suggest looking it up.
At first I was very unhappy that there was a plot hole, because then I wouldn't be able to, in good conscience, give it a perfect rating. But in the end, I filed the plot hole as a suspension for disbelief.
Im going to watch it again, right now. This is my favorite movie now, and I don't think it's going down without a fight.
