Review of Made in Britain (1983) by Paul B — 06 Jul 2008
A minimal, almost Bressonian, look into the life of a young skinhead. Tim Roth is fantastic, and he brings a weighty intelligence to the role. Its influence on films such as American History X and This Is England are clearly evident, although Made in Britain surpasses these two solely on Roth and the brilliant direction and camerawork.
