Review of Lovelace (2013) by Poul F — 08 Sep 2013
Lots of people did not like it, but they may have not been properly prepped by the impact of her films on American society. (Sounds strange, doesn't it?) I thought it balanced both views of her story: The welcome attention her starring role generated and the later shame as she integrated back into normal society.
Sarsgaard was fantastic as well as Seyfried. A great documentary "Inside Deepthroat" (on Netflix streaming) examines the impact of the film on society as well as the epilogue for its stars. Warning, there are some graphic scenes, even more so than "Lovelace.
