Review of Lo (2009) by Layla W — 16 Feb 2010
I had read some really great reviews on this but when I went to go watch it, I was bored the entire time. It's obviously a B-movie but did they have to make it obvious? There was pretty much only one set and while initially, the demon seemed scary, he was like Jim-Carrey's-The-Grinch-scary.
There was zero good acting at any time and because of that and the lack of scene changes, it seemed so forced. The lighting was really bad and you could tell it was spotlights and so forth. The incredibly fake talking hand, the song and dances, and the weird lets-lean-against-this-blood-sheet didn't help the movie either.
To put it nicely, I thought I was watching a really bad version of Buffy.
