Review of Little Children (2006) by Ryan R — 24 Jun 2009
Epic, a literal masterpiece in terms of the modern suburban drama, a movie with some of the best performances by the actors in it, especially that of Jackie Earle Haley and Patrick Wilson (who would later be reunited in The Watchmen). Kate Winslet does a good job as usual, although I felt this was the same rehashed suburban housewife role that she would later reprise in Revolutionary Road. But the true key to this movie is not only the strong performances of the main characters, but also that of the supporting ones. Noah Emmerich, the Post traumatic stress disorder diagnosed cop with a dark past is a very great character. Overall Little Children is a movie that doesn't look as though its impact will change through the years, its a film that will literally be timeless.
Overall anaylisis 9.5 out of 10.
