Review of Light in the Piazza (1962) by Sv G — 28 Mar 2010
A wonderful and interesting story of a mother (de Havilland) and daughter (Mimieux) traveling in Europe and while on their stay in Florence the daughter (who has the emotional capabilities of a 10 yr old due to an old accident) begins to be courted by a handsome young Italian (Hamilton).
The mother's struggle as to what to do and what is right for her daughter is the core of the story. The son's father is played wonderfully by Rosaano Brazzi. Excellent story with grand performances by all.
