Low production value hurts some movies more than others. Sci-fi, horror, action, these suffer. Some dramas can pull it off. For some reason, this one didn?t. It might have just been the quality of the set dressing or ?film stock?.
But it also was very jumpy about some scenes but stays too long on others. It has some interesting bits and a few great performances by the boy, Kerry Washington and her boyfriend. Just missing some stickiness.
It was interesting as an ensemble piece, as you could try to spot the semi star as them come in and out.
