Review of Let's Make Love (2002) by Robert S — 13 Jul 2008
It is hard to write a real review of this movie. We all know too much. Marilyn, aging so nicely was a little old for this part. Then again, probably so was Yves Montand (but then again he is a man, so no, maybe not).
Plot, a billionaire finds out that a play will be put on and he is to be made fun of. The PR man (Randall, and definitely NOT his best work) encourages him to see a part of the rehearsal just to hear what is being said the rest is history as one glance at Amanda (Monroe) and he will do anything to get her.
Marilyn is somewhat out of shape in the film but she is so beautiful. The best shots of her were the ending of the movie while in the elevator. You just cannot manufacture true beauty. Plastic surgeons have tried though.
